Ice Tea by Sheri Jones

Ice Tea by Sheri Jones
12 x 9 oil on canvas board I was at a restaurant in Fredricksburg in a charming old house. The hostess took us to one of the front rooms where the sun was pouring in. We were the only two in the room and I quickly snapped a few photos of the still lifes before us with all the warm light. I loved the warm color of the tea.

Morning Breakfast by Sheri Jones
9 x 12 oil on canvas panel This was painted during the workshop I took from Pam Ingalls recently.
She set up 7 or so still lifes for us to choose from. I felt like a kid in a candy store and wanted to paint them all. The donut was the most fun to paint.

Tahera by Sheri Jones

Tahera by Sheri Jones
12x9 oil on canvas panel I painted this at a Pam Ingall's workshop in Fredricksburg, Texas. It was the first portrait I've painted from a live model. I painted it in black and white as a value study. She had great patience and was a good soul. We all became fast friends.

FAS

I was away for a painting workshop with Pam Ingalls for 5 days. It is always so energizing to be around other artist with the same passion to learn. We painted from a live model two days and still lifes the rest of the time. On the last day Pam set up an interior scene. I will post my results as soon as I get some good pictures. It has been a challenge to get a day with the sun out. It snowed 5 inches at the house last night. Thats a lot of snow for this for this part of the country.
I added a new gadget to the right. It is the ad for Artist of Texas placed in the magazine 'American Art Collector" March Issue.
