The Brazos River by Sheri Jones

16 x 8 oil on canvasThis was painted on a bluff over looking the river at Pecan Plantation in Granbury, Texas.
Getting outside painting in the warmer weather is so refreshing. Spring is upon us with Winter approaching. Spring starts tomorrow and they are calling for snow in North Texas. Go figure, just when I'm geared up for the great outdoors.
This was painted with lots of paint applied with a pallet knife.

This view of the river works well on the narrow vertical panel. Very nice compositon. The palette knive gives great texture to the brush. Nice color, too.
